Hummel bisque porcelain figurine of young boy reading Latest News, aka Munchener Presse
This particular piece is Latest News. It is a young boy wearing his father's slippers sitting on a stool reading the newspaper. The figurine was first produced in 1946 and is model #184, which is incised on the bottom, along with the Goebel trademark. Square base is one of the earlier of this figurine. Stamp would be 1950-55. No box.
Details: Approximately 5 inches tall, base is approximately 2 inches, yet widest part of figurine is the paper; width approximately 3.5 to 4 inches.
